You may have heard from distressed artists or collectives on Facebook that Soundcloud causing a bit of strife at the moment. There’s been a crackdown on licensing, and consequently, some (or a lot) of artists are finding that their content is being removed.
This essentially, is part of a movement that’s been happening for quite a while now, but this is where it starts to get serious.
Cut to one part cofounder of Hebinomichi and another part curator of AHH OOH, an incredibly eclectic electronic project with a heavy emphasis on guitar. They’ve got their aptly titled reaction to this one, and it’s called ‘Purge Safe’.
It’s fantastic guitar music that’s paired almost crudely with their infectious brand of electronic music, but it’s the stark contrast between the two that actually makes this one feel so real and together.
It’s fun, upbeat, and showcases every inch of what Ahh Ooh can do.
To quote the artist, "Here’s to standing on the legs of your own original content".
Purge safely.
