Album Review: Lee Corey Oswald - Regards

The only way this album could be better is if it were on a C45.

Friends, is your primary sound system for music at home decidedly crappy? Then rejoice in how great this lo-fi gem from Portland post-grunge fanatics Lee Corey Oswald is gonna sound. Their love of gloss-free short/fast/loud garage-rock ticks boxes so guarded by fans of everyone from Weezer to early Jebediah. Yet while much of Regards grinds out as if recorded on the first take, Lee Ellis’ lyrics are hippy-dippy, nerdish and sometimes downright incendiary. The only way this album could be better is if it were on a C45.
