Injecting moments of heart-busting sentimentality into comedy is a delicate act, but it's definitely a skill that Kuah Jenhan pulls off with flair, cheek and a good dose of irony in his latest stand-up Like This Like Dad. Making crafty use of a few (rather flamboyant) props, the lovable Malaysian manages to weave astute observations of Aussie culture with wry tales of his upbringing to deliver a moving and deeply amusing spiel focusing on life, love and family. Be prepared to LOL with abandon, and perhaps more unusually, fight the very real urge to rise from your seat to give the guy a big bear hug.
