Album Review: Kenny Rogers - Once Again It's Christmas

Everyone's favourite bearded fellow Kenny Rogers is back with his sixth seasonal release.

It features a host of duet partners including Alison Krauss, a brass and string adornment and beautifully produced backing vocals feature, and thankfully there's little in the way of hackneyed carols or clichéd Christmas instrumentation. Winter Wonderland is given the swing treatment, and highlight medley Here It Is Christmas/Baby, It's Cold Outside is shared with Jennifer Nettles (Sugarland), closing hilariously with Rogers' husky warning, "You don't wanna be out in this kind of weather." Rogers makes for far finer Christmas company than Buble. Tell your mum.
