"Live instrumentation features on a few tracks, and the guest list is a red-carpet affair."

More Kaytranada More Kaytranada

Haitian-Canadian producer Kaytranada's debut album is every bit as slinky as his early music suggested it would be.

His sound has stayed relatively the same on this full-length, although he's gone widescreen with his production, adding in even lower bass tones than we previously thought were possible. Live instrumentation features on a few tracks, and the guest list is a red-carpet affair. However, there's a large number of vacuous filler tracks on this surprisingly over-indulgent debut, leaving the record feeling like an endless night out, wandering through an infinite chain of clubs, all the while searching for the perfect beat.
