Brazilian hip hop artist Karol Conka started making waves after single, Boa Noite, was used in a FIFA videogame, for good reason. Her sound marries soulful elements of traditional Brazilian music, Afro-beat rhythms and samba, with hip hop beats crafted by up and coming producer Nave. The result is a tactile album bursting with relentless groove and energy. Her vocal delivery is clean and powerful; whether rapping or singing Conka is a charismatic performer.
