Album Review: Jeff Lang - Alone In Bad Company

StarStarStarHalf Star

"Jeff Lang still has a thing or two to say."

More Jeff Lang Jeff Lang Profile

After 11 studio albums and a 25-year solo career, you would be forgiven for thinking that the Victorian slide guitar virtuoso and songwriter couldn't possibly go any further with his sound and material.

However, as is apparent in his latest release Alone In Bad Company, Jeff Lang still has a thing or two to say. While first track Fugitive Ghosts takes a while to pick up momentum due to its tonal nature; the instrumentalism cannot be faulted, in that song or throughout. Album highlight: Nocturne For Tangle Eye.
