"While Jay UF raps, Kerser sounds like he's about to jump through your headphones and snatch your sneakers."
Jay UF is a skilled MC; technically proficient.
He'll hit you with a creative bar structure and crystal-clear delivery. The difficulty is his persona. On We Actually Did Kerser appears as a guest. Jay UF is the more technically correct of the two rappers but he lacks his guest's intensity. While Jay UF raps, Kerser sounds like he's about to jump through your headphones and snatch your sneakers.
The Mirror is basically a Linkin Park song, so he takes risks. He commits to "keep moving, improving", so he knows the work needed to master a craft. What this record lacks is charisma. But maybe Jay UF should take the last word: "The public's smart and they don't wanna hear the journo's shit."
