Jade Jackson's Gilded is a country album that even those who aren't typically country music fans will enjoy.
Infused with elements of rock and tonnes of attitude, it's apparent from the very first line of the opener that the album has an edge to it - despite the typical references to whisky and trucks. The Californian showcases her aptitude for songwriting with deep lyrics and a more mature sound than expected from a debut. Highlights include nostalgic Back When, the beautifully sombre Bridges and catchy Good Time Gone.
Gilded proves Jade Jackson a promising young artist to watch.
