Whether suffering from depleted creativity or attempting a change in direction, an eponymous third album is an unusual choice. For Miami rockers Jacuzzi Boys, choosing to self-title their third seems an announcement of sorts – “this is us and this is our music”. And it rings true. They're well-versed in garage songwriting, but it's been to their detriment in the past, their albums erring on the side of samey. This time they've put together 11 tracks that happily mesh yet don't sound like an attack of the clones, hitting the sun-soaked surf-garage rock nail on the head.
