Album Review: Jackie Onassis - Juliette

Ask any speech therapist. They'll explain that you don't just see a smile; you can hear a smile in someone's voice. That's true here. As rapper Kai takes us through this, the second installment of Jackie O's adventures, it sounds like he can't wipe the grin off his face.  “How lucky are we to be telling stories like this?” he seems to ask. Special Occasion is the clearest example; a euphoric party invite. Lean Octavia Lean is the EP's strongest moment. Raph's beat is at once understated and frenetic. Kai, for all his joy, is a little heartbroken.
