Album Review: iOTA - Wolf Number 9

"'Wolf Number 9' is the right mix of rock and showbiz."

It's been bloody lovely to have iOTA on stage and screen (see Rocky/Hedwig/Syd Dance/Mad Max and a whole lotta Smoke & Mirrors), but coming back for a new album really is glorious.

Like his recent multi-modal work, Wolf Number 9 is the right mix of rock and showbiz. Rainbow is what happens when the town goes to the circus (complete with a spoon solo!), Kamikaze is wonderful with a sci-fi edge, T.M.Y.L.T.M.Y.D ("the more you live the more you die") gets the blood pumping, while closer As If You Were Mine changes gear for a sweet slow release.
