After Melbourne duo Indian Summer dropped their catchy tune 'Love Like This' featuring the Brisbane duo Lastlings, another pair have entered the fray with a very impressive remix. UK duo Kry Wolf decided to try their hand at transforming the track into something new, and certainly take the track into unprecedented territory.
Comparing the original with the remix, it's clear that the styles and mood are totally different. While Indian Summer went for a slower paced and more emotional song, Kry Wolf busted out the drum machine and pumped out a dance beat. Elements like the breakbeat drums and future bass styled synths have been replaced with a 4/4 beat and funky synth bass lines that instil a groove that feels like it needs to be danced to.
Some interesting things pop up when you put the two tracks back to back. Whilst Kry Wolf kept the vocals in tact, they've shaken up the feelings conveyed in them, taking it from a heartfelt emotional ballad of sorts into a dance anthem.
What you can expect on this track is a nice 4/4 beat, dynamic synths that set an impeccable groove, and vocals that blend in so well that you'd think they were made for this track. The remix has all the makings of a club hit, Kry Wolf have done well to not only remix but to also transform the track to a different style that the original didn't hit.
We hope to hear more great work from Indian Summer, Lastlings and Kry Wolf soon as all three duos manage to bring their best to every track.
