I, A Man could be construed as just another 'small-time' indie band from Melbourne. The foursome have never played overseas, not even Tasmania, and their debut LP, Gravity Wins Again, was partly written at the farm of friends in rural Victoria. Yet, while their hometown is dripping with over-synthed, under-lyricised indie pop, I, A Man have created a debut record filled with swirling guitars and hypnotic, encapsulating crescendos. Big Ideas perhaps best represents the tone as you'll find yourself picked up by a wave of thought-provoking lyrics, strings and a decent amount of distortion.
