Can't You Tell opens proceedings with its vital, gospel-inflected magic. Lost Youth/Lost You finds our host thinking he knows what love is now and is utterly compelling. I Was Terrible is surprising; an urgent, pulsing pop gem surrounded by more relaxed, sparse siblings. It's disarming to think R&B was more or less a dirty word only ten years ago. No more. This is a shining, soaring diamond. A must.
