‘Let's Just F**king Throw Everything We Can At It’: Luca Brasi Reflect On A Decade Of ‘If This Is All We’re Going To Be’

Album Review: Holy Holy - The Pacific

"Expansive guitar tones wash over you in this lyrical, accessible offering."

More Holy Holy Holy Holy

Expansive guitar tones wash over you in this lyrical, accessible offering. Subtly dramatic builds convey a serious tone without trying to appear overly poignant. While opener House Of Cards fits the ultra-modern, indie-rock bill, single Impossible Like You exudes a timeless sound. Closer Cincinnati has an edgier quality, wavering between trebly high-pitched notes. But the EP depicts a consistent mood: a sort of upbeat, cinematic melancholy. Considering how hard it is to distinguish yourself within this genre, Holy Holy do a stand-up job: clean, intricate and, at times, serene. They play Corner Hotel, 3 and 4 May.
