As in how could these two write a tune as good as Dumb Disco Ideas – probably DFA Records' finest moment since James Murphy signed off LCD with the incredible Home – and then turn out an album as pedestrian as Dynamics? No matter how much time you give this faux disco yacht rock, it never touches you. We get it – you're from New York City – you've got BrooklynVegan looking over your shoulder, making sure things are cool and pouty enough. Just understand your beige loft party soundtrack doesn't matter to anyone outside the borough.
