'You’re A Part Of It': William Crighton Paints A Vivid Picture With ‘Colonial Drift’

Album Review: Hidden Candy - Hidden Candy

StarStar

"Hidden Candy is destined to find its way onto the soundtrack of a B-movie set on a ranch with a theme of “finding yourself”."

Hidden Candy’s self-titled EP consists of cookie-cutter rock.

There’s nothing here you wouldn’t have heard before, and if you did it was at a ‘50s themed diner. There are interesting elements, however, namely the impressive voice of Ash King and the moments where Chris Long goes nuts on the keys but overall even this is far too reserved. Hidden Candy is destined to find its way onto the soundtrack of a B-movie set on a ranch with a theme of “finding yourself”.
