HONEY founder, party-throwing extraordinaire, DJ and now stage curator, Matka has a pretty lengthy resume which includes support slots for A$AP Ferg and Santigold, as well as a slot at last year's LISTEN OUT. She's a juggernaut in the Sydney nightlife scene, playing everywhere, challenging the norms and having a damn good time while doing it. Now, she's channeled her energies into an entire weekend's worth of programming for The Secret Garden, teaming up with AMRITA to curate 'The Carmen Verandah' stage to be about femme power and energy, with most of the acts being female. We love go-getters here at Purple Sneakers, so you KNOW we love Matka.
Bringing the likes of Amber Akilla, Mimi, FlexMami, Sezzo Snot, Amrita, Baby Mama, Jesswar and so. many. more. to the stage, Matka is basically throwing a big ass party for those lucky folks heading along to The Secret Garden, with good vibes, open minds and lit af dancefloors guaranteed. To get us extra excited (as if we didn't need any more reasons to look forward to the weekend), Matka has now given us a taste of what we can expect in the form of a guest mix for our FBi Click show. Big bass, bigger vibes, this one should come with a warning to stretch before listening.
