“Make It Snow is heavy in the Vybz Kartel and Popcaan region. For me that’s where most of my influence comes from - back home."

Eora/Sydney based artist and vocalist Gold Fang has today shared his powerful and empowering new single, Make It Snow featuring fellow local Danté Knows.

The track follows Fang's recent debut two-track release, Light It and the fan favourite anthem, Where Yuh From featuring fellow Sydney rapper Big Skeez.

Gold Fang has made significant waves with his distinct, and highly personal musical stylings as a part of a growing group of incredible international, multicultural music coming out of the city. His catalogue of singles have consistently moulded together the cultural zeitgest of Sydney with his Trinidadian heritage.

The track finds influence in the darker sides of dancehall and rap music, embodying the charisma, flow and personality of the collaborators on the track (Danté Knows on vocals and Korky Buchek on production)What results is a 3 minutes journey jam packed with catchy hooks, ferociously delivered bars atop an ominous dancehall beat.

Speaking on the release, Gold Fang says “Make It Snow is heavy in the Vybz Kartel and Popcaan region. For me that’s where most of my influence comes from - back home. We true to ourselves and true to our culture. We want people to dance and enjoy the flavours we bring to the table."

Danté Knows elaborates on the recording process, saying, "To me, ‘Make It Snow’ is our tribute to the darker sides of dancehall. The sonics bring me to a memory of loading a CD into my player and running an old [Vybz] Kartel or Mavado mixtape as a younger self.”
