Album Review: Generation Kill - We're All Gonna Die

More cohesiveness next time, perhaps.

More Generation Kill More Generation Kill

This second release for crossover thrash outfit Generation Kill continues the band's blending of styles, but focuses a little more on heavy rock to get the message across than on first effort, Red White And Blood. Tracks like Prophets Of War and Death Comes Calling have an Alice In Chains vibe about their guitar harmonies and plodding riffs, with Rob Dukes' bluesy delivery giving his vocal nodes a well-deserved break. However, heavier tracks like Friendly Fire and Vegas only succeed in creating disappointment that the whole album wasn't full of more bangers like them. More cohesiveness next time, perhaps.
