Album Review: From Trees - Find Your Feet (Lose Sleep)

StarStar

One bummed-out dude and an acoustic guitar.

On Find Your Feet, Newcastle’s From Trees fumble around in search of an emotional connection they never quite land on.

The songs deal heavily with themes of depression, suicide and loss, but the lyrics are so shallow and the music so basic the meaning becomes pointless. The exception is Most Monsters Have Teeth, when the band comes in and suddenly the album has life and energy and impact. And then the band goes out and all that remains is one bummed-out dude and an acoustic guitar.
