That’s a wrap!

Dawn Pascoe had the audience intrigued the moment she stepped foot onto the stage with blue high heels and a bright yellow tutu while holding cake. After that, everything became strange. It was basically like she was having a breakdown, making snow angels out of cake, blue paint and red lipstick all over her face, almost looking like a clown. At the same time, her aerial dance skills were amazing as she wove herself into her rope apparatus as if they were one. Flaws And All is a unique show that will challenge some people while others will just find it hilarious.

Fresh out of the UK Big Brother House, Courtney Act glowed as she slept in her big blue bed on stage, with the crowd all eagerly waiting for the alarm to go off. With amazing costumes and several wig changes, Courtney looked amazing at all times. It's astounding how much effort goes into her show. Her witty and self-deprecating humour always got the crowd laughing. It was an absolute delight to be immersed in Act’s world. It was like a girl’s night out, gossiping and doing karaoke, but she is the one who’s better at it.

With babysitters hired and a mum’s-night-out planned, upstairs at the Sail And Anchor was overflowing on Friday night for the sold-out Surviving The Circus, presented by The Motherhood. The collective four mothers each took turns regaling us with stories of their respective parenting sagas, from farting and blaming it on the kids, to calling emergency services to clean up the husband’s mess. The crowd was engaged and loved every second of it, clearly relating to more than a few of the questionable antics recounted. Here’s hoping these ladies come back for Fringe next year - at a bigger venue and playing more than just two shows!
