Reasons To Be Pretty is meant to be a comedy; however, it’s anything but. Set in America (read: awful fake accents), the show is basically about a group of people who just love drama and henceforth incur lots of it. The jokes were clearly meant to lend a hidden moral to the story, but they just come off as a bit sexist and as if the actors were implying that attractive people are stupid, which didn’t provide too many laughs for the audience. Sort of like a bad reality TV show but not as funny.
