Album Review: Fat Mike & Friends - Home Street Home: Original Songs From The Shit Musical

The older Fat Mike gets, the more he acts like a middle-class teenager trying to rebel via punk’s most surface-level affectations.

Now he’s proving punk rockers aren’t immune to self-indulgence or rose-coloured looks at their past. Forming a narrative, developing characters and telling a coherent story are all necessities of a musical soundtrack. Unfortunately, they all prove antithetical to the urgency and riskiness of punk. With this, Fat Mike & Friends will offend and bore fans of punk and musical theatre alike.
