Seventeen albums in 31 years and Erasure show no signs of stopping with their glittered synth-pop, though to be honest, maybe it's time they did.

Andy Bell's cherub-in-hotpants vocals now sound one cigarette away from retirement, squawking the emotions out on Still It's Not Over while Oh What A World jumps on the politico-pop bandwagon with predictably dour results. Vince Clarke's total control over the musical side lacks the spirit of the adventurous studio boffin that was at least semi-present on 2014's The Violet Flame. There's little here that sparkles, even less that actually moves.
