An undisputed up-and-comer of the Australian hip hop scene, Melbourne MC Dylan Joel drops his debut album to an already established fanbase.
Full of party jams and singalong choruses, Authentic Lemonade lands more punches than it misses, making it a more than serviceable record. The 12 tracks that span the album show Joel's undeniable talent in crafting couplets, and pair strongly with the at times subtle production of Cam Bluff (Hilltop Hoods, Illy) and Joel himself. He avoids the bogan hip hop stereotype, and while there are weaker moments - opener Always Fresh might've been better placed later in the album - overall, it's a lot of fun.
