"Musically, the band are on point."

More Diablo Blvd More Diablo Blvd

Between radio-friendly hard rock and traditional metal, Diablo Blvd are sitting on the edge of heavy, but cautious not to fall in.

Vocals and guitars dominate the mix, with less attention paid to the bass and drums. The crisp production means the record may have commercial appeal, but loses some roughness in the process. Musically, the band are on point: songs are concise, groovy stompers with big choruses, Son Of Cain and End Of Time the stand-out tracks. The album is a fun and accessible slab of heavy riffage, sorely missing in the mainstream lately.
