Album Review: Delta - Pyramid Schemes

In 2006 Delta released his debut, Lostralian. It remains one of the best Australian rap albums ever. In the eight years since, Pyramid Schemes is the closest he's come to reaching those heights. Gourmet, a massive, rumbling boom-bap-banger is vintage DLT. While Missing Link's opening verse is incredible, Delta has never sounded as fierce as on Thirty Three & A Third. Still Kings is a nostalgic trip for our host, a uniquely engaging one for us. Only the title track, packed with many of rap's favourite conspiracy theories, is something of a letdown. Compelling stuff in the main.
