Album Review: Death Grips - The Power That B

More Death Grips Death Grips Profile

The Powers That B is a startling and almost impenetrable “return”, one that again sets the bar in whatever the hell it is they do.

Split into two albums, The Powers That B is non-stop cacophony staccato drumming, glitchy techno and Ride’s angry spitting. The trio have jacked up the essence of their previous albums to the nth degree, with the second half hitting the peak: the wonky flux of Inanimate Sensation and the angular guitar line of Centuries Of Damn are awesome, while Death Grips 2.0 seems to give away more than it hides.
