Live Review: LISTEN: Darkside 'Modcast' Mix For Modular

The recently-appearing New York-based superduo DARKSIDE (half NICOLAS JAAR, half DAVE HARRINGTON) preach a particular brand of experimental & minimalistic electronic music, interwoven with organic instruments and glitchy soundscapes. Get prepped, coz the boys are coming down under.

Yes, you read right folks - the duo will be bringing their unique live show and brilliantly original, well-crafted sound to our shores in just a few months. The DARKSIDE boys will be firmly planting their feet in the cities of Sydney and Melbourne to play two intimate shows over the 2nd and 4th of April, respectively. Currently slaying audiences in USA as part of the 'Psychic Tour', the news of the producers' Australian shows comes hot off the heels of their tour of London, Berlin, and Brussels.

What's even better than the imminent news of DARKSIDE's first ever Aussie tour? Well, I'll tell you - The lads who are responsible for putting everything in motion have also enlisted the duo to put together a little mixtape in the form of a 'Modcast' - thanks MODULAR!

Filled to the brim with an eclectic selection of experimental sounds and rare remixes, DARKSIDE have taken this podcast and used it to show off their huge musically-soaked brains with a selection of tracks ranging from the likes of THE KNIFE, NICK DRAKE, and DAVID LYNCH.
