Album Review: Danny Walsh Banned - The Dirt And The Sky

This writer's introduction to Danny Walsh was as a witness to his ramshackle set in a dodgy Reservoir pub.

As a result, the first listen to The Dirt And The Sky was surprising — its high quality sound unexpectedly welcome. There's still a suitable amount of old school dirt [Drunk For Days a particular highlight, a Crazy Horse-esque ballad that will surely encourage boozy hollering all the way up Sydney Road], and The Dirt & The Sky sets up Walsh as more than just a live thrasher. He's an unashamed blues hound and we're better off with him on our streets.
