Penis jokes, gay jokes, fat jokes: for a comedian widely touted as the next big thing, Daniel Sloss dishes up rather standard fare in his show, The Show. Sloss' catalogue of gags may feel a little hackneyed and obvious, but it is not so much the content of his show as the delivery that is cute and funny.

Sloss is at his best when role-playing. His take on a crack-addict penguin is hysterical, as is his version of building Ikea furniture (to turn a “f-load of wood” into a shelving unit, just put on 3D glasses). Tales of getting high whilst babysitting also have a ring of truth and are therefore definitely funnier and little bit alarming at the same time.

At only 22 years-old, Sloss turns in a friendly, lightly funny show. A few more years' life experience and an expanded world-view will likely add the depth that his show currently lacks.
