It is a guide to accompany Damien Power's show, and somehow it sums it up perfectly: Power delivers a scathing, unwavering and uproarious critique of modern western living, of classism, imperialism and the absurdity of our own evolution. But this is not a dry lecture, Power interrupts his sharp observations with moments of real vulnerability and an endearing sense of self-deprecation, that, as Australians, we can't help but love. This is stand-up comedy at its best: intelligent, challenging, and utterly enjoyable. In the words of the man himself, "have a laugh, but also have a think".
