When Lance Ferguson is not Bamboo-ing or Lanu-ing he's slaving over Cookin' On 3 Burners. Cookin's sixth album, Blind Bet, stirs yet more blues and rootsy R&B influences into the mix, a sonic progression that provides a perfect platform for the legendary Tex Perkins' gravelly growl, and for the first lady of Australasian soul Kylie Auldist and an-all-grown up Daniel Merriweather. Equally split between vocals and instrumentals, Blind Bet's absolute showstopper is the explosive title track, underpinned by Ivan Khatchoyan's drums.
