"His self-titled debut offers a whimsy that most premieres do, but wrapped in lo-fi folk rather than young person angst."

Young Tasmanian Christopher Coleman comes to circulation via triple j Unearthed. His self-titled debut offers a whimsy that most premieres do, but wrapped in lo-fi folk rather than young person angst. His twangy vocals and wordy delivery in Dandelion Flower would make Courtney Barnett proud, while the mini-anthologies Sailor's Love Song and Another Sailor's Love Song go to water almost via country, complete with sing-along, fiddle and slide. The second part is particularly sweet, countered by the ironic rock of Mr Smooth. Rounded off by late night indie lullaby Sweet, Sweet Melody Part 1 & 2.
