Cattle Decapitation ProfileCattle Decapitation's career is akin to a good horror movie: a slow beginning that teases of the gruesome terrors to come, patiently and methodically building on itself scene-by-terrifying-scene.
To keep the metaphor going, The Anthropocene Extinction is the band's climactic act. Million-miles-a-minute guitar playing and guttural vocals will keep the grindcore faithful happy, but the four-piece are now making good on the depth hinted at with 2012's Monolith Of Inhumanity. Travis Ryan's (relatively) new high-pitched, melodic screeches allow the band to reach new levels of putrid dissonance, conjuring foreboding atmospheres around their tracks.
