"Much of Buck’s trademark intensity is unfortunately lost across the album"

Buck 65’s 14th studio album is jam-packed with collaborations – in fact, 11 of the 13 tracks feature guest vocalists, with Tiger Rosa and Francesca Anderson taking on recurring contributing roles to help Buck regale with his tales of lost love and woe. While his intriguing stories and lyrical prowess still shine throughout, much of Buck’s trademark intensity is unfortunately lost across the album as a result of his loosening of the creative reins. Only War in particular feels more like a floating, melodious Tiger Rosa tune rather than a hard-hitting Buck track.
