"Delivering deep groove and progressive house influences throughout"
Vancouver-based duo Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance, who go by the moniker Bob Moses, have put together a commendable debut release after generating hype relatively quickly playing small techno venues in and around NYC, catching the attention of tiny dance label Scissor & Thread and eventually playing sets at places like the Burning Man festival.
Delivering deep groove and progressive house influences throughout, the duo also borrow ideas from labelmate Jon Hopkins and artists like Caribou, albeit with equal emphasis on vocal arrangement and beats — not a bad effort at all.
