This is truly inspiring music built for largely selfless purposes. Respect.

Central Arnhem Land stalwarts Blekbala Mujik have been entertaining remote communities since 1986, and this release is a historical live snapshot spanning 1995 to 2012.

As a band of hell-proficient instrumentalists that specialise in toe-tapping melodies in a pub-rock context, they quietly spread an overwhelming message of positivity by way of frontman Apaak Miller’s English lyrics (Don’t Worry Just Be Happy), and in Indigenous tongue they’re also educating the youth on the social pressures within their communities. This is truly inspiring music built for largely selfless purposes. Respect.
