Album Review: Betty Who - The Valley

StarStarStar

"She owns her space as Betty Who."

More Betty Who Betty Who

You've gotta hand it to Jessica Newham aka Betty Who.

Newham dedicated herself to realising a pop vision with an uncompromisingly Gaga-esque series of choices that started as a teenager and ten years later her second album is where she owns her space as Betty Who. Glistening with pop polish thanks to Newham's ability to choose the right producer for the right song (from quite a sizeable roster), some might say it all sounds a little too perfect, but a welcome rare guest spot from Warren G on Free To Fly provides one of many peaks among very few troughs.
