Album Review: Ben Cummings - Devil's Blood

Beginning with a raw, forthright and unadulterated title track, Devil's Blood is indeed a strong debut EP. Cummings sees no need to debase the message of his recordings with additional components in the mix; no piano, backing bands, organs or string arrangements interrupt what he and his guitar have to say here. Cummings tells heartfelt stories and poetic musings that need be no more than what they are: emotive, thoughtful and righteous.
