Album Review: Baby Et Lulu - Album Deux

A truly “magnifique” partnership was born when Abby Dobson (Leonardo’s Bride) and Lara Goodridge (FourPlay) joined musical forces with a French twist.

It can be hard to resist a bit of Parisian accordion as it is; pair it with Dobson and Goodridge’s vibrating harmonies, especially in the seesawing C’est Le Top, and it’s just plain irresistible. Je Suis Venu Te Dire does away with the French pomp and lets the girls’ breathy pouts shine dramatically over piano and strings. Paris and Paris Se Regarde add the theatrical lines and sassy clarinet expected for such song titles.
