Rather, it’s a well-rounded record that furthers a promising young local artist.

More Amaya Laucirica More Amaya Laucirica

As the French horn of final song, Falling Out Of Time, floats away on a cloud of cymbals and xylophones, it's hard not to feel a sense of peace. It's a serene feeling that ebbs and flows all through Sway, the third album from Melbourne's Amaya Laucirica. Reverb mixes with Laucirica's vocals across the 11 tracks, recalling Yo La Tengo and Besnard Lakes with neither element overtaking the other. Sway won't be known for its lyrical content, or for its production values, although both are solid. Rather, it's a well-rounded record that furthers a promising young local artist.
