Solid and enjoyable without excelling.

Milling The Wind is a triumphant first solo outing for Hart and his beautifully crafted music that is the perfect soundtrack to any Sunday afternoon.

Just as committed and passionate but probably lucky to see anyone beyond former fans caring to seek them out. Which is a shame. There are far inferior records getting far greater attention.

With indie, dub and dance sounds all at work it is hard not to deploy the word ‘Balearic’ in relation to Cellar Door; it’s a set that cements the Idjut Boys as far more than simply dance music producers.

As abrasive as his hoarse bark is, Brian Fair’s limitations have always been most apparent during melodic choruses and lightening his load helps, given the greater emphasis on clean singing.
