Slug Guts are demons of filth and lords of wanton aggression, and Playin’ In Time… is their most consistent document of their riotous yet wilful decline.

Researching The Blues is far more than a token reunion album, rather a welcome return from of this fine underground outfit, and should also be held up as a beacon of light for experienced musicians everywhere, an apt reminder that that where there’s life there’s hope.

Combining the slow builds and explosive climaxes of their roots with a dancefloor sensibility, this was one of the best albums of 2010. For those new to the records, it should be similarly acclaimed in 2012.

Get What You Give in short is hard-hitting music, both in sound and meaning, and has declared The Ghost Inside as one of hardcore’s premier bands.
