As far as releases go, it’s all for those that love low-fi rock.

He has moments of real transcendence but Bring It Back doesn’t fully deliver on its promise or its creator’s talent.

The album’s lyrics are simple rock’n’roll, and dad was, unfortunately, singing along in no time. I must admit, it was infectious.

Good news is that Beacon isn’t necessarily a member of the flop crew and it seems to be a much more sophisticated release with tendencies akin to that of New Order.

Once their musical traits and tastes have developed, and with the bonus of Margin’s soulful voice at the helm, it is inevitable that there will be many more albums from these guys.

Sun is proof that Marshall still has plenty in the tank.

While still relatively new on the Australian music scene, the group have constructed a steady, satisfying record that speaks of experience far beyond their years.

Solid pop-punk with a rough edge.
