In Hearts Wake join the cream of Australia’s metalcore crop.

Terrane is finely balanced and reveals something new with each listen.

Die Young is an intriguing collection of songs that rewards repeat listens; probably even moreso with the impending release of a companion short film about teen ghosts caught in limbo adding weight to the album.

The ever-present harmonica, 12-bar blues pacing of many of the songs and smoky, late-night air around the whole thing makes these songs sound timeless.

Lonerism’s a cohesive body of work that’s gonna be hard to top. But, then again, so was Innerspeaker, which is what makes this album such a mammoth achievement.

Boogie! is an impressive collection documenting a vibrant period in our musical history that cared as little for commercial acceptance or success as the punks that superseded them in the late ‘70s.

All things considered, it’s a good album and starts off so well, it’s just a shame that it peters out toward the end.
