he middle section seems to lack the same punch offered at the start but fortunately Bad Thing checks in towards the end for its bombastic but creepy horns and live kit under Francis Kora’s vocal gymnastics.

It’s hard to accurately describe the many variations of Jonny Telafone, and it would be nice to have some time with just one. Nevertheless, Jonny Telafone highlights what a burgeoning talent he really is.

Flyleaf may not be groundbreakers, though they’re one of those outfits with an intrinsic gift for creating intricate melody in the context of heavy rock.

Tucker’s voice is still as jaw-dropping as ever, if not more so.

Overall, it’s a likeable rogue of an album and an ultimate treat.

While the three unreleased recent studio cuts that close things out are more than passable, you’re probably best going back to track one once the show is over.

Blockheads’ grind has always been noteworthy; now with the right label behind them there’s no limit to what they’re capable of achieving.

The Glorious might not entirely live up to their name but they’ve created a very good record nonetheless.
