There’s resonance and pathos in their songwriting that fills up the crevices in your head and heart, and weighs you down with a sweet sort of lead in your belly that feels both rare and important somehow.

Unfortunately, as a whole the album failed to conjure any strong emotional response, and ended up being a pretty but somewhat forgettable listening experience.

Some of Bundick’s most vibrant material is here; the opening Harm In Charge, Say That and lead single So Many Details, which aches longing and pulsates sunshine simultaneously.

While II may lack a few of the catchy hooks we saw on Unkown Mortal Orchestra’s first offering, it’s still a very interesting album that’s consistent in their old-school sound.

Like many commercial ‘urban’ releases, the 17 tracks of ONIFC is way too long, and too shit.

Mostly it’s an enjoyable trip, but one that bears indelible signs of the band’s aging.

Lowrider have a massive future as a quality pop act both here and overseas.
